In 2009, Umbro entered the realm of limited edition collector's boots with the debut of the Umbro Speciali England. This iconic release marked its first appearance on the feet of England Captain John Terry during a match against Slovakia on the 28th March 2009.
Crafted from premium K-Leather, the boot boasted a luxuriously smooth and supple upper, complemented by a 6-stud soft ground soleplate with the England flag on. These lovely boots came packaged in an elaborate silk lined box. Upon lifting the lid, you are greeted with the boot's launch date (28.03.09) and the unique serial number assigned to each pair, these being number 1 out of the 283 produced!
These have been worn a few times and have some marks to the upper and soleplate, and the box has split on the corners, but one probably to go on a shelf somewhere. I also have the original matchday program from the match, and a few newspaper articles about the match. A true collectors piece!
